About Me
Michael Whelan is an accomplished writer and editor with ten years of valuable industry experience. He graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor’s in English with a dual-emphasis in Creative Writing and Textuality (Subtext) in Literature, a Bachelor’s in Women’s and Gender Studies, as well as minors in Psychology and LGBT Studies. He went on to obtain a Master of Fine Arts degree in English-Creative Writing with an emphasis in Fiction from Antioch University-Los Angeles.
Michael Whelan has worked as part of the interim editorial team for a national biweekly news publication, obtained grants from national writing associations for his own blog and memoir writing and has led local writing workshops as well as conducted lectures and seminars on various subjects in creative writing. He is an experienced book editor and writing coach. His own work has appeared in national publications, both online and in print. He is committed to providing only the best quality of service for any project he works on.
