Answers:

  1. Are your services confidential?

Absolutely! Every service and interaction are 100% confidential. I will never confirm that you have used my service and I do not provide samples to new clients because of confidentiality.

  1. Will you do sample edits?

I do not do free sample edits. When it comes to larger projects, clients are welcome to send me a small part of their larger project to “try me out” that way. You can also check out the testimonials on my site. Do you have any writing samples?

  1. Do you have any writing services?

I do not provide writing samples from past clients due to confidentiality, but I also do not find past examples helpful. Writing is tailored in tone, keywords and style based on what a client wants, so no two clients will ever get the same thing. Like sample edits, a client can retain me for a small part of a larger project so that they can see if I’m the right fit with minimal cost/commitment.

  1. Do you do free revisions on items you have already edited?

Yes and no. I do not edit something that has already been edited (Track Changes, comments, notes/feedback), but I do answer questions. For example, if I left a comment saying something needed to be rewritten, clarified or expanded on I will look at these changes for free, as many times as it takes to make it right.

  1. Will you look over my book to determine if it is even worth spending the money to edit?

No, but you have other options. If you are writing a book and you’re not sure it is at the editing stage, you can order my beta-reading service, which costs much less and is designed for such a need and concern. If you are working on a longer project that you know is at the editing stage, I can work on your project in installments. This is where you break up your work into sections, and I price and edit each section on its own. Each section has its own analysis, and the last section’s analysis will cover that individual section as well as the project overall. If you choose this option, each installment should be at least 10% of the total project’s length.

  1. What happens if I don’t like my resume once it is finished?

You are backed by my satisfaction guarantee. Once you receive your resume, you have 72 hours to request any changes. You can change anything you like on your resume (including format), and there is no limit to how much you can change. I only ask that you request any and all changes at one time. If you have any concerns with the layout or design, I will ask you to tell me what you don’t like about it or what you would like – this is just to get a sense of what you’re looking for so you will be completely happy with the end result. I make all changes in a timely manner and I am always happy to accommodate any request. Bottom line, I am not happy unless you are.

  1. Do I get to see my work before I make payment?

No. Payments are due up front before beginning any project. This is standard practice. Your turnaround time doesn’t begin until your materials and payment have been received. I accept payments via Paypal because it protects you as the “buyer” as well as me as the “seller.” For concerns regarding total cost, you can break up your project into installments as explained above (question 5). Please email me with any additional payment questions.
